G’day, I’m Jaymis Horsey, thanks for dropping by my website.
Who I’ve worked with

About Me
I’m a 36-year-old Senior Graphic Designer based in Brisbane, Australia—a one-man-creative-army with over 12 years of experience turning ideas into sharp, effective visuals. With an Advanced Diploma in Commercial Arts, I specialize in crafting bold logos, brand identities, marketing materials, and websites that do more than just look good—they work.
Over my career, I’ve worked with over 80 brands, from industry giants like Telstra, Aussie Home Loans, and Place Real Estate to small businesses just getting their start. Every project, big or small, deserves the same level of thought and precision. I’ve designed for Real Estate, Telecommunications, IT, Retail, Law, Finance, E-commerce, and more, so I know how to adapt and make designs that fit.
Design trends change, tools evolve, and that’s just part of the game. I like staying ahead of it—whether it’s AI-driven design techniques with Midjourney or refining my workflow with new tech. Growth isn’t about chasing trends; it’s about sharpening the tools you already have.
I keep my skill set broad—Video and Motion Graphics, UI/UX Design, Social Media Marketing, Photography, Illustration, and 3D Modeling—because creativity isn’t one-dimensional. Whether developing brand identities, mentoring junior designers, or tackling a high-level project, I approach it with a mix of logic, creativity, and openness.
Outside of design, I paint miniatures with an obsessive level of detail. It’s a different canvas, but the same principles apply—color, composition, and storytelling. I take commission work when time allows, delivering high-quality brushwork and artistic precision for collectors who appreciate it.
At the end of the day, I just like making things that work well and look great. No fluff, no ego—just solid creative work. If that sounds like what you need, I’m your one-man-creative-army.

Logos & Branding
A good logo and solid branding won’t make or break a business, but they sure make things easier. A logo is often the first handshake between a company and its audience—it sets the tone, tells a story, and, if done right, sticks. But branding goes beyond just a logo. It’s the colors, the typography, the way a business presents itself across everything it touches. Done well, it creates consistency, builds trust, and makes a brand feel familiar before a customer even interacts with it. At its best, branding isn’t about decoration—it’s about communication. It helps a business stand out without shouting and leaves a lasting impression without trying too hard.

Website Design & Development
A website is more than a digital storefront—it’s where a brand makes its first real impression. Good design keeps it clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, while solid development makes sure it runs smoothly behind the scenes. A site should work just as well on mobile as it does on desktop, load fast, and guide visitors without making them think too hard. When done right, it builds credibility, keeps people engaged, and turns interest into action. No gimmicks, no clutter—just a strong online presence that does its job well.
Miniature Painting
I paint miniatures—small figures, big details. It’s more than just putting color on plastic; it’s about using contrast, lighting, and composition to make every piece stand out. My background in graphic design gives me an edge—an instinct for color theory, balance, and storytelling that translates into the art of miniature painting. Whether it’s a single centrepeice character or a full army, I focus on creating visually striking models that look just as good up close as they do on the tabletop. I handle everything—assembly, basing, and painting—so you get an army that turns heads at your local gaming club or looks stunning on display. (AUS & NZ only.)
